Modern Internet is becoming bored to me I miss the days when many people used to have homepages for things they liked or to share their personal interests. Or even when people used to have weblogs on Blogger and Wordpress (like I used to have). Nowadays, all of that is on social media. And social media has become increasingly greedy with data, a toxic cesspoll, designs and features that increasingly limit users and also makes web browsers to cry. Every time I tried to use Mastodon, Twitter, Bluesky, or anything similar, I ended up getting bored after a few days and I end up deleting my accounts because I no longer see nothing interest on it rather than just AI accounts spamming crap in underground and recently posted stuff (like I used to see lately on Bluesky). If I want to post crap only to me and two web crawlers to see, at this point I prefer setting up a personal homepage for that instead of leaving that on a social media account. Every time I browse to archived websites on Wayback Machine or in some GeoCities/AngelFire/Tripod/ISP webspace archives, I always feel a sense of nostalgia and sadness when I see those websites that once had their charm and community but are now either still alive but with disordered content or abandoned, while others have moved their content to sites like Tumblr or Twitter.
